Every now and then I'll saunter into the living room with a scooped out, olive oil, margarine bagel in hand and pick out sections of the New York Times. One section I never-ever! pick out is the Sports Section. I have no interest in sports, even after watching a Tribeca Film Festival screening of Spike Lee's documentary/joint on Kobe Bryant's Life. (The movie just further confirmed what I thought about Kobe Bryant - a guy with funny facial expressions.)But today! The Section had a huge photo spread on the Kentucky Derby which took place yesterday morning (always the first saturday of may apparently).
Also - horse racing terminology is hard to follow!
But horse jockeys are also distinguished in their sport by the outfits they have to wear in order to be recognized by viewers on the bleachers. The patterns they use are pretty out there.
